Status Bar/New Browser

Hello,

I am on XP Pro.

When I type "CTRL+N" to open a new browser, another
browser opens but it does not have the status bar.

I always have to type "ALT+V, B" to make the status bar
appear.

How can I make the status bar open on a new browser by
default?

Thanks

IE remembers your last settings. Open the first browser and then type ALT +
N to the second browser. Change the second browser to the configuration you
desire. (i.e. type AT+V, B etc.).

Close the first browser. Then close the second browser. The order of
closing the browser is important. Next time you open a browser, you should
get the configuration of the second browser.

Thanks, but let me clarify. I have no problems opening a
browswer from the desktop with the status bar.

When I already have a browswer open with the status bar
and wish to open a new browswer by typing "ctrl+n", that
new browswer NEVER has a status bar unless I manually add
it.

I tried your first suggestion and it didn't work.

Any other ideas?
