Stationery and Web Mail

I have users who compose emails in Outlook 2003, which some use the
Stationery option for their backgrounds. I also have users with Earthlink
accounts who use Earthlink Webmail. Earthlink users cannot view emails sent
from the Outlook users who are using Stationery. The Stationery shows up as
jpeg attachments in Earthlink Webmail and the body of the message does not
show up at all.

I spoke with Earthilink about this and they confirmed that is the case.

Question - Are there any work arounds for this? Third party solutions,
updates, etc?

Thanks

Third party solutions
The mail server should be able to handle proper conversion of the message
and otherwise the webmail application.

Plain Text.
I was hoping for a work around to allow Outlook users to continue using
Stationery. I tried adding the email recipients to Outlook contacts, then
changing the properties of the EarthLink recipients to "only send in plain
text". In that configuration, plain text sends attachments also. Rich Text
will work to a degree where the text is sent, but it also sends a
winmail.dat file attachment, and you're not able add an attachment if you
need to.
and otherwise the webmail application.
For whatever reason webmail will not correctly convert / display messages
received from OL when using Stationery. At least Earthlink Webmail will
not.

Maybe it's just not going to happen and I'll have to break news to the OL
users to stop using Stationery.

Not necessarily a bad thing. After all, what information does the
stationery add to the message anyway? The only thing it does is serve to
make the message unnecessarily bigger.
