Startup Problems

I recently installed the automatic updates by turning off my computer. When I
reboot, the USB keyboard will work, and I am able to get into BIOS. Shortly
after though when Windows begins to boot, the Screen I believe Advanced
Startup options will come on, note this is the screen that will happen if you
press F8, and my keyboard will go dead, no buttons work. Not only that, when
I the automatic timer runs down it begins to boot, but will sit on the screen
with the scroll bar, and Windows Logo. I have let it sit for hours on end and
it never leaves that screen, tried to work with a recovery disk for an
emachine, note that emachine is not my machine, but the keyboard won't work
and I can't select any of the options. I don't believe it would be a hardware
problem because I wouldn't be able to access my BIOS with the keyboard by
hitting the delete when booting and they keyboard works in BIOS itself. Not
sure what to do, please help.

I am not clear what you mean "installed the automatic updates by turning off my computer."

Do not use a recovery disk that comes for another computer.

If the USB keyboard is an issue, find a PS2 keyboard and try using it.

I'd suggest that you try again a selective bootup, tapping F8 so you can choose "Last Known Good".
