I am trying to open outlook on startup and I have succeeded on my laptops. On
my desktop however when I right click and click open in the startup in all
programs nothing happens ( the folder doesn't open ) so i can't drop outlook
into the folder. Any suggestions.,

Paste this into the Start | Run box:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Click OK.

You've spent all day telling everyone else the answer, tell him. Same procedure as for a r/c crash. One known program is avg.

I had just read two or three posts by you in the previous hour refering people to Ramesh's site. This is the same cause as any R/C crash or hang. AVG's shell extension is one that causes it but by no means not the only one. I don't answer context menu questions anymore. So give the guy your usual spiel (I'm too lazy to look up R's link).
