Startup and Log Off Screen

The date and time was 1/11/2008 1:50 PM, and on a whim, Pushpendra
pounded out on the keyboard:
Hi, How to change Startup and Log Off Screen in Windows XP Service Pack 2.

If you have a Welcome Screen with users showing and want to turn it off.
Open Control Panel, open User Accounts (using Classic View), click
"Change the way users log on or off" and uncheck "Use the Welcome
screen". Then you will use Ctrl-Alt-Del to log on.

The Log off or Shutdown dialog isn't a screen, so I'm not sure what
you're asking.

Do you want the "Classic" login screen, or a "Custom" Welcome screen?
Search the net for "use classic login screen", (no quote marks), for the 1st.
Search for "change the Welcome screen", for the 2nd.
[WARNING! - Changing the Welcome screen, improperly, can get you "locked
out" of your computer!]

Softwares like TuneUp Styler 2 (included in TuneUp Utilities and available
alone) and Stardock's Logon Studio can help you change the welcome screen
safely.
