After recently upgrading to windows xp each time I boot,
I receive this message: Can't run 16 bit application
Windows program due to insuffient memory. Quit one or
more Windows applications and try again.
It does not give me any clue as to what program this
message is a result from or where to check.
Sincerly,
G.G.

Start > Run > msconfig <enter>
Click the "Startup" tab.
Look at the list of apps. [see http://netsquirrel.com/msconfig/ for "how
to use msconfig" and a link to a list of startup apps]
