Start up problem

When I start my computer I get this message

"The application or DLL c:\WINDOWS\system32\sfc.dll is not a valid Windows
image.
Please check this against your installation diskette."

What is this and is there a way to correct it. thanks in advance

Try to rename this DLL something like this:
C:\Windows\System32\sfcold.dll and install the latest windows installer
from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...FC-5F56-4A38-B838-DE776FD4138C&displaylang=en
Again be sure your computer is clean from viruses and malwares by scannning,
get the security updates from Ms website.
