start up issue

hi i need someone to explain me how to get fix my problem with my start up.
When i log on my desktop it show the pc description and everything but after
the windows log its gone the windons wont start up, the only way it starts is
just pressing the enter key can some on could help .....thanks

perhaps you are at the logon screen and because the password is blank
pressing the Enter Key logs you on. To bypass logon you need to change the
way windows logons on. Follow the instructions here

What happens if you press Ctrl+Alt+Del keys in an attempt to bring up
Task Manager?

How old is the computer? What make and model? What do you have by way of
a Windows XP CD?
