start-page info

hello every-one!

I have a long time running issue with my internet
explorer which i have not succeeded in resolving with my
Norton security or my Microsoft Antispyware yet. Here is
my issue:
When I enter an adress without typing "http", I do not
get the internet page I have entered, but the following
page: "http://start-page.info/". I think this is what one
calls a "side search" tool. I would like to remove
this "side search tool", but i do not succeed in doing
it. Do you have any hint? Many thanks in advance for any
information

Get HijackThis.exe from
http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/hjt199//HijackThis.exe

Save it then Open it and SCAN your system then SAVE LOG
and send me the HijackThis log as an attachment. I should
be able to identify the problem and tell you how to get
rid of it for good.

If you run advanced tools, and browser restore, does this problem get
resolved?
