IIRC I used to be able to right click on an item in the start menu (eg
Favorites) and bring up a dialog box. This doesn't happen anymore. Any
ideas?
Cheers

If it is any comfort, mine doesn't either.
Heirloom, old and it's only a problem if you know
about it

If your right click menu is missing in the Start Menu...

XP Start Menu >>
Right click the Start button | Properties |
Start Menu tab | Customize button | Advanced tab |
Scroll down to and Check: Enable dragging and dropping |
Click OK | Click OK

Classic Start Menu >>
Right click the Start button | Properties |
Start Menu tab | Customize button |
Scroll down to and Check: Enable dragging and dropping |
Click OK | OK

[[Specifies whether you can drag items to the Start
menu.]] Also disables the right click menu if UNChecked.

That's it.
Thanks.

You seem to know exactly what to do!! Unfortunately I don't - I seem to have
too many programs opening in the Start Menu. XP tells me how to add programs
- but how to I stop them opening from Start -up?
