start menu programs

yes my program list on the start menu has grown quite a bit and i am unable
to drag and drop the shortcuts like before please help me to shrink this
cascading out of control menu lol i have win xp pro without service packs
thank you

Right click on Start and choose Explore. You can then manage it with
Windows Explorer.

Start Menu tab | Customize button | Advanced tab |
Scroll down to and Check: Enable dragging and dropping |
OK | OK

Classic Start Menu >>
Right click the Start button | Properties |
Start Menu tab | Customize button |
Scroll down to and Check: Enable dragging and dropping |
OK | OK

[[Specifies whether you can drag items to the Start
menu.]] Also disables right click menu if UNChecked.

Unable to right-click on the folders or shortcuts in the Start Menu

Right click on start menu/properties/costomize/advanced and in the bo
with scroll bar choose "scroll programs". That will take care of th
cascading menu. I found mine was cascading off the screen and
couldn't access some of my programs
