Start Menu ---- All Programs Window

When clicking on Start --- all Programs --- a window opens with the program
folders but it is also filled with dll files from other programs. New
programs don't show up in the window cause the dll's take up so much space in
the window. How can I get rid of the dll's without affecting the programs
themselves. Also, is there any way to stop them from showing up there in the
first place ?

I've never heard of dll's in the All programs..but at any rate, you can
create a folder and put them all in that.
I'll check into the second part of your post..

It sounds like you did a custom install of some programs and chose to
install them into the Documents and Settings, All Users, Start Menu,
Programs folder.

Go to Control Panel, Add/remove programs and uninstall any programs that
show up this way and then use the program's default installation. They will
normally be installed in a sub folder of the Program Files folder and only
shortcuts to the progam (and possibly the uninstall and/or help & readme
files) will be put in the Start Menu folder.
