Start button question

This may be somewhat esoteric but... Under my start button there is a sliver
of the taskbar - either blue, silver, or olive green depending on the theme
chosen. It wasn't always like this. The start button used to go all the way
to the bottom of the screen without any 'line' below it.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a way to make the start button
fill the bottom left corner of the screen again?

Thank you,

Strange problem. All i can think of is to ensure your monitor is displaying
the full diplay area. Try adjusting the vertical positioning using your
monitors controls, if it's a fairly new LCD monitor is should automatically
adjust so thats unlikely to be the problem, but won't harm to have a fiddle.
I'm thinking you may find that your task bar is double in hight and that the
monitor wasn't displaying the full size. If that is the case right click the
task bar and unlock it then drag it down to it's normal size.

Jay,

Thanks for the trouble-shooting. I don't think it's a monitor problem. The
taskbar is as small as I can get it. The one pixel line is even present when
I place the taskbar at the top of the screen. It can be seen here:

It's like the start button shrunk by one pixel in height. ????

Thanks,

Ernie
