Standby Doesn't work

R

Randy

Problem Description: "The device driver for the 'Standard 101/102-Key or
Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard' device is preventing the machine from
entering standby. Please Close all applications and try again. If the
problem persists, you may need to update this driver."

My PC will not go into Standby either after 25 min. (which is what I have it
set for) or when I click on Standby in the shut down window, or when I press
Fn/Esc. Whatever I do, I get the above error message.

I have tries rebooting and making sure all applications are closed. Problems
still exists.

As the error message points out, it's because of the device driver for your
keyboard. Try download/installing the latest drivers for your keyboard
and/or replacing it to see if that works.

Posted 'as is'. If there are any spelling and/or grammar mistakes, they
were a direct result of my fingers and brain not being synchronized or my
lack of caffeine.
