Hi
When connecting to (some) SSL sites the connect fails at seemingly random
intervals. Sometimes a couple of images are missing, sometimes a stylesheet
and sometimes the site cannot be reached at all. If I refresh the page some
other content will be missing. I know for sure that the site is up and has
no load-issues.
I've used HttpWatch to identify the error as
ERROR_INTERNET_SECURITY_CHANNEL_ERROR. Support / help sites describes the
error like this:
"The application experienced an internal error loading the SSL libraries."
This problem is only seen on a single PC - the 5 ones standing right next to
it have no problems with SSL connections to the same site at the same time.
I connect to the SSL thru 2 firewalls but no proxy (the same as the rest of
the PCs).
I'm running IE 6 version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633 on a Win XP Pro
machine.
The SSL problem does not occur if I use other browsers like Firefox to
connect to the same site (at the same time). So I figure I've messed up my
SSL settings in IE somehow. I've tried resetting everything to its default
values (incl rebooting a gazillion times) but to no avail.
Any ideas?
