SQL Server SP2?

G

Graham

I've got RC1 x64 up and running, so now I'm installing various bits of
software to check for problems.

I've installed Visual Studio - no problem.

Visual Studio installs SQL Server Express 2005 by default. SQL server wants
SP2 installed in order to overcome compatibility problems.

Problem. There is no SP2 available at the moment, and I can not find
anything on the MSDN website to indicate when it will be available.

Anyone have any idea as to when we might see SP2?

Thanks,
Graham.

Amen brother. I thought I was going insane following SQL Server Express SP2
links that keep pointing back to SP1. I'm pretty certain that SP2 exist on
some web page somewhere, but no one at Microsoft have thought to actually
link anything to it, and the searches show up nothing because nothing is
linked to it. This feels like Catch 22.

What's even more frustrating is there seems to be no way to tell Microsoft
that their links are wrong.

Here is the link on the Microsoft site for this issue - unfortunately they
say when it's available then SQL Server 2005 will run on RC1 - there is no
way to be notified when it is that I can see but if we subscribe to this
posting then maybe the first person that finds out is available will tell us
& how to get to the update download area.
