Spyware

Just installed Microsoft Anti Spyware and it's erased all
the virus but the minute I go back online the Internet
Explorer gets hijacked again and the home page goes back
to about blank. Also I've lost my dial up box and have to
use Settings and Network Connections to get online. Any
advice

Please restart your machine in safe mode and do full scans with Microsoft
Antivirus until one comes through clean--this probably means twice.

I'm not sure this will restore the "dial up box" you refer to--is this a
shortcut to your dialup connection? You can recreate this by right-clicking
on the connection and choosing "create shortcut"

Go to System Mechanic on the Internet and download the
trial Mechanic. Run System Mechanic's Parasite removal
tool. I use Adaware and Spybot, but I beleive it was only
System Mechanic that perminantly removed the "about blank"
IE search highjack. Other option is to Control Panel /
remove Microsoft Internet Explorer and delete (fall back
to the previous version actually); this has helped to
break the grip of some hard to remove highjacks.

If all else fails, I hope you know how to format the hard
drive and rebuilt the operating system back to the
orginial way. At least you know for sure that everything
is completely clean an then you can reinstall your OS
along with any antivirus programs or antispyware you have
as well.

Such drastic measurements!

I have exactly the same problem with this shit which is
send by lop.com, and I cannot manage to get rid of it once
for ever. The problem is more or less the same for those
users of my PC who get a limited access: the MS Antispyware
does not look to work correctly.

Can you start your machine in safe mode, sign in as "administrator", and
scan twice (or until clean) using a full scan, with Microsoft Antispyware?

This won't fix all the issues with limited users, but can you report back
how well it does at removing lop.com?
