Hi,
I've been having a lot of trouble with my computer for the past few weeks. Sites keep popping up, home page is constantly being changed. Everytime I type in a site I'd like to go to, it goes to another site. Whenever I post something online with a link to a certain site, the link suddenly becomes a link to another site. This is driving me completely insane! I was told that it is probably spyware. I downloaded a free spyware scanning and it found several sites that have attached themselves to my computer. Now, everytime I try to go to a spyware removal site to purchase some help, the window closes by itself. It will not let me view any site that has to do with the removal of spyware. Are there any programs available for purchase in a store? If so, which ones would you suggest?
Any advice is kindly appreciated.
Thank you
Go to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC and find the "HOSTS" file. It's
the one that's bigger than 1 k. Make a copy of it for backup. Double
click it to bring up the "Open With.." window. Choose notepad to open
it, then delete every line except "127.0.0.1 localhost". Save it, and
try to connect to spyware removal sites.

HiJack This is a program that simply searches for programs that run at
boot time, and checks for browser plug-ins. The results this program
gives you are generally just informative. Most of the programs it will
come up with are valid programs that you actually want running. You'll
have to go through the results and tell the program to delete unwanted
programs. If you can't figure out what some of the programs are, don't
just delete them, research them and/or post them so experts can let
you know what the program does. Just type the program name into google
which gets a decent answer pretty quickly.
Try downloading, installing and updating the
spyware removers from the links below. Run both of them.

If these don't correct the problem, then get yourself a copy of
BHODemon, available at
http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm .
It does not need installing - simply unzip and run the EXE program. It
is easy to use. It will find the hijackware DLL files, and give you
the ability to disable them.
Hope this helps.
