spyware update

I have failed once again to update to the new version, I have deleted all
references to MSAS in the registory. Before doing that the installer would'nt
even start, now the installer will get me to the accept portion of the
license aggreement once I click accept I get an error that it can't open the
\C0................ .......\MicroSoftAntispyware.msi file. Anyone have any
suggestions?

Hello nicktjr,

try this:

c:\WINDOWS2\Installer\
for the file: gcasSWUpdater.exe
delete the folder with the 3 files in there and do a new install.
Workt for me with a other install problem.
