Spyware Infection

I have some strange behavior on my Win XP desktop. I think I have been hit
by a spyware program. My desktop was stolen and locked by some kind of
program. I can not modify my desktop picture anymore. It is locked with a
image. Here is what the image says "Spyware Infection...Your system is
infected with spyware. windows recommends you to use a spyware removal tool
to prevent loos of improtant data and increase system performance. using
this pc before having it cleaned from spyware threats is highly discouraged."
This note is in a black box in middle of my desk top with red and white
letters. I try to delete this file which seems to be stored in my windows
directory but no luck. I have run Microsoft Antispware beta1 version but the
display still shows this message. Any advice on how to remove this spyware,
would be helpful. One other note, I have noticed under a circumstance that a
reference to "Tesla Spyware" is made and goes to some website. Again, I
appreciate any help possible.

Another possible solution is to use "System Recovery" to a time before the
problem arose. I have found that many users don't us System Restore to
help solve problems. That is one of the reasons it exists. I hope you will
let the group know if it solves the problem.
