Note that MSAS ignores Claria, and Counterspy is MSAS "twin brother"

This continues to be a misleading description of how Microsoft Antispyware
treats Claria.

Claria is detected, with a default action of "ignore." The user has the
option at the end of a manually initiated scan, to choose alternative
actions, including remove, for any threat found, including Claria.

It happens that Bill Sanderson formulated :

Hi Bill

For a normal user without any knowledge about Claria it is "Ignored"
and nothing else.

Perhaps 1% of all users knows about Claria and changes to "remove".

So it is detected but "ignored" for mostly all users.

I don't completely agree. I think most users look at everything that the
program finds--they notice that it doesn't find their favorite calendar
application, or aunt mary's screensaver, or Office or all the legit stuff
they've got around.

When you post that Claria is ignored, without making any qualification of
that--you imply that it is not detected, and that isn't true.
