Ive been useing Spybot search and destroy... Its Free.. and simple to use, suits me lovley

Well there must be an application or somthing that keeps changing settings in my internet setup... I keep getting this message from spybot if the machine has been restarted..

DSO Exploit ..Data Source object exploit (Registry Change)

H_KEY USERS\.Default\software\microsoft\windows\current version\internet settings\Zones\0\1004!=W=3

DSO Exploit all exciting stuff.. or what.... I gather that there is an application (Worm/Virus/Trojan type thing) changing the Zone internet settings... this is just a guess

This isnt worrying... its just interesting

Does anyone have any idea what 1004!=W=3..... means

Just out of curiosity... Thanks

It's a bug with Spybot I believe. It is a good program however and well worth running.

Try installing Adaware as well, the two programs kinda compliment each other, one usually catches what the other misses.

There's a new version out now as well, SE V1.03, it's good. Installing this may sort out your registry prob, though I'm not absolutely certain.

You can get it Here

Your welcome,

I personally do not like SBSD, too many anomolies for my liking ... and it will not run on my home system. :confused:

I'll stick to Ad-Aware, and I'll keep plugging Ad-Aware, and a new found friend Spy Sweeper.

:D
