Spooler has finished printing message

hi there,
We have a few XP machines hooked up to a windows NT4 server for printing
to network printers.
every time you print the server feels compelled to tell you when it is
finished printing by sending a "net send" message stating such.
any idea how i could turn it off so it doesn't tell us when its finished
printing.
considered just turning off messenger but our virus scanner also uses
"net send" to inform us when it has found a virus.

any ideas?

You need to configure the NT 4 server not to send the print notification

Printers Folder / File / Server Properties / Advanced
uncheck Notify when remote documents are printed.
