If spell checker is enabled, then try changing the language. You should
already have it set to English, but change it to, say French and then back
to English again.

When I try to spell check outgoing email, a message pops up saying the "This
language is no longer available for spell checking. Please select another in
the spelling options dialog box." Since I'm writing in English and its the
only language I speak fluently, I seem to be out of options. I'm also a
terrible speller, so really need the spell check.

Thanks.

Windows Mail comes with its default language for spelling checks partly
set to English, but not enough to work. To correct this, click on Tools,
then Options, then Spelling, then the triangle to the right of English, then
some other language, then Apply, then the triangle again, then English,
then Apply again, then OK.

messages, not just some of them, and there's no check mark in the box
before Always check spelling before sending, click on this box, then Apply.
Click on the triangle to the right of English, then some other language,
then
Apply, then the triangle again, then English, then Apply again, then OK.

If you only want to check spelling in some of the outgoing messages, start
those messages as usual, but just before sending them, click on the ABC
checkmark in the new message window.

Why do you make new programs more difficult to use? i DON'T have a clue why I
can't preforme spell check on note written in English. This is
redicullious. Why does Microsoft try and push their problems onto group users?

"We" are just users like yourself....

If your spellcheck is not working, try to toggle the setting by selecting
another language, Apply, then re-select English, Apply.

This usually fixes it.

Better yet, get the newer Windows Live Mail, since WM hasn't and probably
never will be updated.
