Spell Checking in Outlook Express

J

Joe Covello

Microsoft Knowledge Base Article- 308078 indicates that
spelling command is not available in Outlook Express for
Windows XP 64 bit edition.

I have Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint installed, so
the spelling checker from these programs are available to
Outlook Express.

Has anyone figured out how to get spell check to work?

I get the message " an error occurred while spelling was
being checked"

Thanks in advance for any help.

Bruce,

Thanks for responding. Why hasn't Microsoft corrected
this problem, since they acknowledge it is a problem with
their product?

Couldn't say. Everyone in these newsgroups are volunteers and do not
work for MS.

Tasks time to figure these things out. Quite often, fixing one thing breaks
another. So releasing a fix that is not regression tested may not be
advantagous to the end user (In other words, it may fix the intended
problem, but it may cause new ones)..
