SP4 has affected creating dialup accounts

No Internet

NOTE: This post was also posting to Networking, however I
think it is more appropriate here.

I just upgrade from Windows 2000 SP3 to SP4 via an express
(web) upgrade. A message stated the upgrade was successful.

After rebooting, my dialup entry which I used for the web
upgrade was no longer present. When trying to add a new
entry, I get an error "Conection to xxxx is not a valid
name."

According to :
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;319162&Product=win2000

this happens when upgrading from a previous version of
Windows, I only went from SP3 to SP4.

What to do?

Same thing has happened to me. SP3 messed up a bit but was
able to clear that up. Tried twice on SP$ with the same
result. However, my laptop loaded it up with no problem.
The difference is my desktop was upgraded from win 98;
don't know if this makes any difference. Also, office Pro
2003 will not load after SP3 and wouldn't on SP4 either.
Again, laptop loaded up O.K. These service packs turned out
to be downgrades not upgrades!
