SP2 hangs

I just installed WinXP Pro SP1 and immediately upgraded it
to SP2. 2 bugs seem to have appeared, does anyone have any
idea how to make it work?

1. When I click the Automatic Updates tab in the System
Properties dialog, the dialog just hangs.

2. Whenever I click Turn Off Computer, explorer.exe just
hangs.

Any ideas, anyone? I'll be waiting for a reply since I
can't turn off my computer

Apparently SP2 is a real problem in a lot of areas. I
have an interesting problem of my own. For safety sake,
I would remove SP2 and wait for a month or so for them to
fix the piece of crap. Hopefully it won't hose your
system when you remove it. I would be prepared to reload
XP SP1 just in case.

If you do nothing but wait, you will wait forever.
The SP-2 of today will be the same as SP-2 next year.
Unless you intend to wait for SP-3...in a year or 2.
