SP2 and Recovery Console

When I try to install recovery console on XP sp2 boxes I
get an error that CD OS is older version it will not
let me proceed. How does one get Recovery console
installed on XP sp2 if you have orginal XP CD's? Thanks

Hi

If you have upgraded to SP2 and you are using a CD from a previous version
of XP, you will see that error message. To install the Recovery Console in
SP2, you will need to create a slipstreamed SP2 CD.

You can download the SP2 file (266 MBs) from here:

or if you have a copy of the SP2 CD, you can copy the xpsp2.exe file from
that CD onto your hard disk/partition and use that:
