SP2 and apparent memory problem

I installed SP2 about two days ago and I've been having
trouble with most of my software installed to date. I
keep getting "repair program" dialog boxes, including
Office 2003 and it's really really annoying...

But what annoys me the most is that ever since I
installed it I've been unable to use my Paragon Cd-
Emulator software. I tried re-installing it and updating
it to the latest version but I still get a messade saying
that "the memory could not be read" when I load an .iso
and try to run something from it.

And I think this is only the beginning, I mean, who knows
what else will come crashing down one of these days...

But anyway, could someone help me out with my Paragon
problem? I got stuff on .iso that I really need to access
and I don't have a cd burner on this pc...

Is the Paragon software a virtual drive type of program? One of the
important preparation steps *before* installing SP2 was to uninstall
virtual drive software. I suspect this may be the cause of a great deal
of your issues with SP2, although since we don't know the state of the
pc to start with (100% spyware and virus-free? any necessary OEM
patches installed prior to SP2? etc.) it's hard to say exactly.

Go to Paragon's site and see what their tech support pages have to say
about using their software and SP2. Then, if you would like more help
from the newsgroup, please post back to this thread with details about
your system; i.e., make/model of laptop (at least I assume it's a
laptop if you don't have a cd drive), etc.
