SP1

I need to install new drivers for my video card but in order to do that SP1
had to be installed. I've been doing all the updates but decided to check of
everything was there and lo and behold SP1 wasn't so I downloaded it and
proceeded to install it. (express). The download was quick but the install
took over 1 hour. The status bar shows that its all installed but I still
have the window that tells me to wait. Any other time it tells me that
install is complete and to restart the computer, but now it's doing nothing.
Should I close this window?
Was this a mistake because all the other updates were installed?

Stan;
It was not a mistake because SP1 is needed.

Is the computer doing anything?
Is the hard drive being accessed?
If yes, wait a while longer, otherwise reboot, force it if necessary.
Then check if SP1 is installed.

If you still need to install SP1, follow this:

Hi Stan,

Close the window and reboot. The express install bypasses already installed
updates, and an hour or so isn't too bad. It all depends on the number of
updates that you actually needed.

And, obviously, the speed of your connection.
