PROBLEM IS THIS
1. Loading HP 4570c scanner driver.
2. Get message that I need to install SP 2
3. Find OxpSp2 download and start it.
4. I get a message that "The expected version of the product was not
on my system.'
QUESTION; I have XP Home 2002 installed. What product is it looking
for?

You need to download and install Office XP SP2 - not Windows XP SP2. (Oxp =
Office XP) Also, Office XP has an SP3 also.

The reference to OSP2 might be Office SP2?

Perhaps so. I had assumed, since he was posting here in a Windows NG,
that he was talking about Windows XP.

Your items are a bit confusing because you relay two messages you
recieved in two different ways. The last message you relayed with the
quotations marks iand the exact message is the best way, than people
know exactly what you are getting.
Knowing scanners, your first message of needing SP2 is correct and it
is speaking of Windows XP SP2 not Office. So if you in fact do not
have SP2 installed which you can find out by right clicking on My
Computer and going to properties, you need to download Windows XP SP2
and you can get that by going to http://www.microsoft.com/download and
place XP SP2 in the search window and it willl find it for you and you
can download it.
