Soyo KT 333 and Maxtor 160 - Second Drive Unseen

I am stumped. After a crash I installed a new Maxtor 160 gig drive in a PC
with a Soyo KT 333 Dragon Ultra Platinum. Previously this machine had a 120
gig C: drive and an 80 gig secondary drive:. After installing the 160 with
XP Pro, as the only drive on the primary channel, it does not see the other
hard drive, which is set as the slave on the secondary channel (with the CD
drive as the master.)

I thought this problem was caused by the 135 gig partition size barrier, so
I used Partition Magic 8 to resize the 160 gig dirve to 125 and 35 gig
partitions. That went fine. But the machine still refuses to see the second
hard drive.

Any ideas, suggestions or off-the-wall guesses would be appreciated!

Ignore this message. I found the problem -- as usual, a dumb mistake in
setting up the hardware.
