source safe problem

Hello there

I have mdb file which i would like to enter to source safe.

On some of the forms and reports there are an arabic characters.

These characters are declered on my computer and not on the server where i
place the source safe.

The creating of the source save were successful. but when i try to create
new mdb based on that source safe it drops me out on shut down of the
access.

does someone stuck with this problem before?

and how can i solve it?

Hi,
could be the same problem, as with Russian characters - all computers and
server should have Russian (Arabic in your case) set as language for
non-unicode programs, see regional settings-advanced

Thankes A lot alex

But it is not helping me because i have 4 languages: English, Hebrew,
Arabic, and russion

It seems that any access object becomes text on Source safe.

So is there a way that it will be automaticly created as unicode and not as
text?

Hi,
well, this I don't know, and this is a real problem in Access. Try to follow
a simple rule - name everything in English (objects, controls) and write all
VBA code in English, then it will work with any language
