Sound recorder

I use the sound recorder regularly but have "lost "it from the
programs/accessories sound recorder access on the start/all programs menu.

The program is still there as I can open it by going to the main XP help
function, typing in "sound recorder" which has an "open sound recorder" in
the help text. Everything else on the machine is working normally.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Should be a link to it in,
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start
Menu\Programs\Accessories\Entertainment

Many thanks for responding. I couldn'y locate it underthe string you
advised. I now suspect I may have moved it elsewhere myself as I did have it
in the quick launch taskbar and now it's not there either. I have tried also
windows desktop search to no avail. I am reluctant to do a system restore at
this stage as I have just set up a wireless modem and a VOIP phone off that
as well. Can I just reload that bit from the original XP setup discs?

Create a shortcut to %SystemRoot%\system32\sndrec32.exe and name it
"Sound Recorder".
