Sound problem

Few days ago, I bought a new computer with motherboard ASROCK
ALiveNF6G-DVI. I installed Windows Vista and everything seems to work
fine except sound. I installed required sound driver (there is a list on
http://www.asrock.com/mb/download.asp?Model=ALiveNF6G-DVI), but whenever
I try to play an audio file, I get the message "No output audio device
installed." The same problem occurs even when I use headphones instead
of speakers...
Anyone can help?
Thanks

Read the following links. Get rid of Vista.

If it' s an onboard audio device, did you activate it in the bios?

Yes, I did. Now, everything on computer screen seems ok, but there is no
sound coming out from speakers. Speakers are ok, they work properly on
another computer. Situation doesn't get any better when I use headphones
or speakers from monitor...
