We had to reformat the hard drive after an unfortunate incident. now my sound
isnt working. I have a Legacy audio driver but it says the file location is
unknown and I cant delete it. I've tried updating it but that has done
nothing. I dont know if it might be the multimedia audio controller or not
because when i try o update that it says i need hardware.here's the list
under sound, video and game controllers:

Audio Codecs
Legacy Audio Drivers
Legacy Video Capture Devices
Media Control Devices
Video Codecs

Go to the website of your PC manufacturer and download and install audio
(and video capture drivers) for the hardware you have in your PC. It should
be listed under the model of your particular PC.
