sound icon missing

my calc, volume and paint were all missing. I went to control panel,
add remove programs. Then to add/remove window components. Click
accessories and utilities and then click next. Now go to the start
menu to see that they were installed. Go to sound in control panel and
check the show icon in taskbar. Done!

The Accessories program group is not displayed on the All Programs menu in
Windows XP:
