Sound file does not work.

You should only have one presentation file, two after you use the package
for CD/Folder. The fact that you have a zillion versions, maybe the reason
your not getting things to work.

PPS/PPT are the same file the only difference being in the way they open
..PPS opens in the Slideshow mode and .PPT opens in the Edit mode, and this
only applies if you have the full version of PowerPoint on your system. If
you only have the PowerPoint viewer on your computer then you can only open
the file in the slideshow mode regardless of the file extension.I think you
meant PPT when you said PPD.

I would delete all the files with the exception of one good version. In your
initial post you mentioned both MP3 files and WAV files. these are treated
differently in PowerPoint. WAV files depending on their size, and what you
have set in your Tools, Options, General are normally embedded into your
presentation. MP3 Files are always linked, and that is why we have been
telling you to put the sound file into the same folder as you presentation
before you insert it into your presentation.

Now, if you could tell us what type of sound file your using and how your
inserting it into your presentation. would be a great place to start.

The latest copied to CD version is a wav file. I inserted it into my (saved
to pps) presentation. It is timed and plays across all the slides. The PPt
presentation is 11.4 mb's and the sound file (wav) is 2.98 mb's.
This last CD attempt (to a target computer) plays but the show does not
come up automatically (one of the files has to be clicked).

I just started up my cd that the target computer person had to open today by
clicking on a file and it *started right up*without my clicking on anything!?
It didn't do that yesterday before I sent it to the target.(?)
You asked what files am I copying to the CD: all that you mentioned in an
earlier note: Track/wav, gdiplusdl, play, pptview, pvread, slidepr,
autorun,intdate,playlst, ppv/win.,saext.d/ and unicows.--

| The latest copied to CD version is a wav file. I inserted it into my
(saved

| This last CD attempt (to a target computer) plays but the show does not

Michael, I'm signing off until tomorrow. I also just spoke to my target
computer person and they might not have "allowed" the cd to open up
automatically...Anyway, they are going to try it again tomorrow. I have a
feeling this is close to being 'fini'.
Thanks for all your help. Ditto to Echo etc. etc.

Well, my target person called this morning to say the cd opened right up from
the "get go". I am going to start making more cd's and will experiment to
see if they need a jump start... or not!
I apologize to you all if I took your time needlessly. I promise it was
ignorance and old age!
Thanks for all your help!

Michael, I'm signing off until tomorrow. I also just spoke to my target

It didn't do that yesterday before I sent it to the target.(?)
You asked what files am I copying to the CD: all that you mentioned
in an
earlier note: Track/wav, gdiplusdl, play, pptview, pvread, slidepr,
autorun,intdate,playlst, ppv/win.,saext.d/ and unicows.

That is very strange. I would like to know what files are you copying

your CD

| The latest copied to CD version is a wav file. I inserted it into
my
(saved
| to pps) presentation. It is timed and plays across all the slides.
The
PPt
| presentation is 11.4 mb's and the sound file (wav) is 2.98 mb's.
| This last CD attempt (to a target computer) plays but the show does
not
| come up automatically (one of the files has to be clicked).

Melissa;

Thanks for getting back to us with your success, great news. Like Glen said

Well, my target person called this morning to say the cd opened right up
from
the "get go". I am going to start making more cd's and will experiment to
see if they need a jump start... or not!
I apologize to you all if I took your time needlessly. I promise it was
ignorance and old age!
Thanks for all your help!

Michael, I'm signing off until tomorrow. I also just spoke to my target
computer person and they might not have "allowed" the cd to open up
automatically...Anyway, they are going to try it again tomorrow. I have
a
feeling this is close to being 'fini'.
Thanks for all your help. Ditto to Echo etc. etc.

:

I just started up my cd that the target computer person had to open
today by
clicking on a file and it *started right up*without my clicking on
anything!?
It didn't do that yesterday before I sent it to the target.(?)
You asked what files am I copying to the CD: all that you mentioned
in an
earlier note: Track/wav, gdiplusdl, play, pptview, pvread, slidepr,
autorun,intdate,playlst, ppv/win.,saext.d/ and unicows.

:

That is very strange. I would like to know what files are you copying
to
