sound drivers won't stay loaded

I posted this in the Music section, but did receive any reponses. Anyone
have a solution?

I had some computer guys come out and do some work on my system a few weeks
ago. I'm not sure what they did but now my computer won't load Creative's
SoundBlaster sound card drivers on startup.

The wave driver, midi driver, mixer driver, and DirectSound 3d driver all
are missing when I run Creative Diagnosis. The hardware IS reconized.

I was able to track down the instillation disk for the sound card that came
with the computer and reload them and play music for a little while but sure
enough, today after a restart, they're gone again.

I'm not quite sure how to procede here and would love some advice.
I haven't been home much to use my computer, but thus far, these are the
only drivers I've noticed missing.

Open system properties,hardware,device mgr,expand the sound tree,R.click
creative hardware,select uninstall (do not restart pc),after all is
uninstalled,
close out,shutdown,power off.Remove creative card and place in another pci
slot,start computer.XP will reinstall on start up.....

Thanks Andrew! That worked!

Unfortunately, after some tinkering, my computer seems to have reverted back
to having the same problems I had when I sent my computers in for repairs and
more. I'm going to restart hope some of the problems I'm now seeing, that I
didn't have before (like the fact my cd-rom drives are no longer recognized)
and start a new help post. At least after 10 or so restarts, I still have my
sound drivers!
