Sorting icons on desktop

When I sort my icons by name I get the sort by two groups instead of
one. I think it my have to do with them being grouped by user - one
for all and one for me.

How is it possible to have only one sorted group?

The Desktop you see is a combination of two folders.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop
and
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Desktop
or
%allusersprofile%\Desktop
and
%userprofile%\Desktop

If you are the only user, move all the shortcuts to one Desktop folder or
the other.

My Documents and My Computer may still sort differently.
