Sort by type

In XP Pro I could sort by type. Example, I have jpg files and htm files in a
folder. I want to sort all the htm files together and all the jpg files
together. I don't see that option when I select "view." Anyone know the
answer? Thanks.

Hi,

And why you select View instead Sort By - or simply one click on Type column
in Explorer window ?
Nothing changed since WinXP with sorting.

Marcin, I don't use explorer and never have. I open a folder and do my
sorting there and it's not the same.

I found it. 'Right click' in the folder and 'type' is finally found with
'more.' Happy days are here again.

Make sure the type column is showing, and sort away?

If you hover over the right hand edge of the column heading
and click the arrow, you can select 'sort' or 'group' - I
prefer viewing types in a group.

I thought when you opened a folder you were opening explorer and all
you have to do is click on the "type"column .
