Since Sony does not usually supply the XP installation CD, you will need to
use the Sony restore procedure. Consult the Sony Help and Support from the
Start menu and the Sony web site for details.
To install a clean XP pro, your options a to purchase a XP pro upgrade, Full
or OEM version.
The upgrade requires qualifying Windows media and in your situation would be
the XP you have installed and would need to restore to if a clean install
was needed in the future.
The Full version will allow upgrade, clean and can be transferred to a new
system when removed from it's current location. Most expensive option.
The OEM cannot upgrade. Clean install is the only option. It is also tied to
the computer it is installed and will be flagged when transferred.
All have the same functionality.
