Sonic MyDVD install, checking Win XP for Intel driver

R

Richard

I am installing Sonic MyDVD Version 4.0 software
on Win XP. The install disk states that XP Users must
uninstall the Intel Application Accelerator (IAA) driver
(if installed on the system) before installing MyDVD
Media Suite to prevent sofeware conflict between IAA and
Sonic DLA.

How do I check my XP system to see if the IAA driver is
present and if so how do I uninstall it. Thanks in
advance for any help.

Use "Add or Remove Programs" from the control panel. If Intel Application
Accelerator is installed it will be listed there. To remove click on it then
click Change/Remove.

I'm in the same boat as the original poster.

However, when I attempt to unistall Intel Application Accelerator (via
the control panel add/remove programs function) it appears to
uninstall, but after reboot the damn thing is still there and this is
preventing my Sonic software from installing. It does this repeatedly.

Anyone know how to get around this madness? Maybe install it againa nd
then uninstall it?
