Someone Please HELP w/ XP Updates!

I have searched and searched these postings looking for
some help but have been unable too. My XP WONT UPDATE at
all. I have tried virus scanning and spybot and nothing
is working. I am fed up w/ Microsoft and dont know what
else to do! Please someone help me!!!



Hi There! This link is a little confusiong and I dont
think
that will help me since I'm not getting any error
messages.
Im just getting well nothing! My PC will hang on the
screen
that says searching for updates. Also when I go into the
control
panel to update to click auto update tab, it will
immedietly "hang" there as well.
Someone thinks it could be spyware but Ive downloaded
Spybot and it
still will not work. Any other suggestions?

Becky this is the third post from you about this issue in less than 24
hours. You don't help yourself by repeatedly posting the same issue.
For one thing it makes it very hard to follow what others have suggested
to help decide what to try next. This is a peer to peer newsgroup,
all posters are volunteers and from around the world. It can take up to
24 hours or more for the right person to see your post. If you don't
get a response after several days, then repost but indicate it's the
second posting in the message header. Patience is rewarded.
