Please understand that I have read and tried Microsofts suggestions to no
avail. I have googled and read many posts with the same problem with no
solution. Someone please help.

Outlook 2003, XP
Outlook simply will not retain a password even when the "save password" box
is checked. It continues to ask every time. I have multiple addresses for a
business and punching in a password for every address everytime email is
checked simply not practicle.

I have tried these suggestions at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/290684.

Does anyone have anymore ideas? Please?

Doesn't anyone have any ideas? Doesn't Microsoft have representatives here
to help answer questions. Can someone please help me?

The KB article was the best bet for a solution.

No.

Can someone please help me?

Open a support incident with Microsoft if you need the problem resolved
quickly. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until someone who has something
else to suggest posts.

I found a solution. I had to call Microsoft directly and get them to work on
my computer. It took them a couple two hour calls. It turned out to be
something with XP and the registry.

The problem will be fixed(at least it was for me) after following the
instructions at http://windowsxp.mvps.org/usershellfolders.htm

Resetting the shell keys in the registry using the supplied reg file,
then I deleted the key in the Protected System Storage key (not sure
if u have to do this), then rebooted, then reentered outlook password
and WHALLA no more issues.
