Some windows close as soon as they open

I have been having problems with some windows(opened by different links or
buttons from differant web pages) close as soon as they open.
Mcafee Help http://ts.mcafeehelp.com/?siteID=1&resolution=1280x1024 is one
of them

Some of the links (I am not sure if all that I am having problems with) are
javascripts (I mainly have noticed this on password gaurded sites, so it
would not help much to post the link for the sites)

Some Javascript site work fine!

This has happened before, and I finally blow out my hard drive and
reinstalled. I NEED access to some of these sites. I have talked to the
support people for these sites, and they all are saying it is my IE and how
it is configured.

I run McAfee Security Center(causes SERIOUS system slow down!!!!!), Ad
Watch, AdAware, SpyBot S&D

TS I have done: I have cleared cache, files. I have set colors high (and
tried lower colors on my display settings) I have tried lowering the
resolution, I have tried in another "USERS" account on same system, disabled
all explorer addins, updated JAVA, tried higher and lower security settings
I am running XPPro (OEM) SP2 and IE6 w/SP2 on an IBM Thinkpad T40P last
updates are about 2 weeks old.

Please help! I do not want to reformat and reinstall my OS again!!!!!!

Hi,
One of your third-party security programs is seeing these as pop-up windows
and closing them. You'll have to check configuration of these programs and
find the setting that needs to be changed.

It *would* be ironic if McAfee Security Center was blocking/closing McAfee
webpages ;-)

I have tried to disable all of the popup blockers I can find. I am still
having the same issue. How can I track this down?
Is there a way to restore IE to it ORIGIANL condition (including settings
and BHOs?)

I am not sure if this is a POPUP issue as not, as it DOES allow the the
popup, but then it closes. I would think (and this is how it usually works)
is that the POPUP is blocked BEFORE it runs.(and I get a blurp noise)
