Some sites do not load, most do. Confused

I have XP, IE6, SP2, and NIS 2006.

Some sites do not load properly. Pages with pictures etc only show some
text, whereas the page loooks fien on my old computer with ie6, sP1.

I've checked firewall, and there's no sign of the page being blocked. I've
marked it as a trusted site. I don't now what else to do. It doesn't seem to
be an issue with SP2.

Any ideas?

Hi,
First try clearing the Temporary Internet Files from Internet Options>
General.

Next...
It's possible that a toolbar, add-on or security/ad-blocker program is
causing this.

From IE> Tools> Manage add-ons. Disable non-microsoft add-ons to see if one
of them is blocking images or other content.

Disable (for diagnostic purposes) programs such as pop-up blockers,
security, toolbars and other add-ons for IE, anti-virus, etc. Take a look at
any program that might be interfering with IE. You may have to reconfigure,
reinstall, or not reinstall, a program. Turn on the Windows Firewall (from
Control Panel or Security Center) before disabling a third-party firewall or
security suite (NIS.)

You might try this test *very* briefly (no more than 15-20 seconds) because
you'll be running with security programs shutdown...
Startup in Safe Mode with Networking.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=315222 If the problem goes
away, a program that didn't load in Safe Mode is causing it.

Hope this helps,
Don

Hi,

It was good old NIS. I found the NIS icon on the toolbar and removed the ad
blocking for the page. This url has its photos as 'ads'.

I suppose what it comes down to is, when in doubt, first disable NIS.

But thanks,

ellen
