Some apps can't see encrypted folders

I have already presented this question to the Kodak Support Group.
They apparently don't understand the question. So far thay are 3 for 3.

Kodak's Easyshare will not list certain folders on my computer when I
want to browse to add pictures for editing in EasyShare. It shows all folders
outside of my folders in "My Documents". I have this folder encrypted
using the software built into Windows XP. These folders in addition are
marked "Private". All other software which I run while I am logged in
can see these folders. Why can't Easyshare?

Because Easy Share isn't written that way. Easy Share is a pretty wonky
program anyway and causes a lot of problems for people who *don't*
encrypt their folders. Use something else.
