So many connections

Hi all, I'm trying to share files and printers on wifi
with xp/2k/98se machines. I've been reading several
tutorials and they've said to remove all network protocols
that aren't required for a specific purpose. Of course,
being a novice I don't know what is needed. I'm certain
that I need:

-Client on Microsoft Networks

-File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks

-Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

But what about: Adapter Switching Driver, QoS Packet
Scheduler, Microsoft TCP/IP version 6, NWLink NetBIOS,
NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol, WLAN
Transport? These are on my XP machine.

I've no clue what there are. Should I disable them?

You probably don't need them, but did you install them in the first place?
Just having them on the disk makes no difference.
