Hi all,
There was a previous posting on this topic, but it never seemed to have
been resolved. I am getting a BSOD on my thinkpad t43 when I close the
screen and the laptop is unplugged. I have it set up so it does not
shutdown when I close it.
Tracking down the system logs, I seem to get an stop code 0x00000096.
Dumpchk says it is likely from smbusdh.sys, an ibm-provided driver.
When I use verifier on this driver, the comp boots up just fine.
Jarrett Goetz, in a previous thread, asked the user if he/she was using
the thinkpad client security chip. I do have mine enabled, and am
using it.
Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm in the field
right now, so i can't use ibm's support to call me back and walk me
through this. I doubt they would come up with a solution anyway.
TIA,
Allie
